A Letter of Thanksgiving from Coach Madison

This is a new tradition for me, as one of the newer coaches on the team. Taking time to pause and reflect on this past year has been such a meaningful process. I’m truly thankful for all the challenges, growth, and unexpected turns that have shaped me over these last twelve months. It’s been a year full of new experiences, exciting opportunities, and, honestly a fair share of hardships, but through it all, I can see how much I’ve learned and grown.

I’m extremely thankful for the friends that I have and for the new friendships that have developed this year. I’m beyond grateful for my family; my siblings, who are some of my closest friends, and my fiancé, who continually supports me even though we live in different states. The distance isn’t always easy, but I’m so thankful for the love and patience that keeps us connected. Most importantly, I’m thankful for what God has been continually doing in my life and the way He’s guided me through every high and low.

I’m also so thankful for not only making new friends at The Movement but for becoming part of the coaching team here. Joining this community and meeting so many incredible people has been such a blessing. It’s reminded me how grateful I am for my health and for spaces like this that allow me to grow; physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Although, as I mentioned, this year hasn’t been an easy one. I thought things might go more smoothly, and that by now, I’d have more pieces of my life figured out. But as I sit and reflect, I can see how God is moving, even in the midst of uncertainty. This year has taught me that it’s okay not to have everything perfectly in place, and it’s okay not to understand everything. I’m thankful for every opportunity and lesson this year has brought because I know it’s preparing me for the next season of my life.

If I’m being honest, I’m someone who likes to take calculated risks and think things through before stepping into something new. But this year, I’ve been stretched far beyond my comfort zone. There have been moments where it’s felt like I was being stretched beyond what I could handle, but I’ve come to realize that those moments are where true growth happens. I believe that God uses those seasons to build greater capacity, strength, and peace within us.

With all that being said, I’m deeply grateful to be a coach at The Movement. This community has pushed me, challenged me, and helped me grow in ways I didn’t even know were possible. I absolutely love the people here and the opportunity to witness their growth; not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. We truly have some of the best members, and I’m so excited to see what this next year holds. I know it will bring new changes, new challenges, and even more growth, and I’m ready for it all.
